Patches for Palestine - Crochet drop for Gaza Food Aid - 26.8.25
Thank you anyone who pre-orders xxx
There’s really nothing to say to introduce the war on Gaza — the bombing and the starvation — that hasn’t been said. I think that’s why I decided to crochet some patches for food aid. You can purchase one here.
Patches can be easily sewn onto a bag or t-shirt or hoodie to show your support. And I hope they’ll raise a little money too — I’m going to reuse recycled envelopes and hope to keep costs down so as much of the £20 as possible goes to food aid.
I feel powerless — beyond the usual signing things, etc. I struggle to engage with the war online — so much of the coverage is parents holding their dead children and I’ve been that parent. I know the horror and despair and am deposited back into it vividly, heartbroken for them and me and all of us. I clicked through on a story recently to a page about the war. The second post was a photo of a lost child and I dropped the phone with a start and cried. I have very little emotional bandwidth and deeply unhealthy finances, but I do care and I do have yarn. So instead of being online, I’m crocheting some patches — 10 and I’ll crochet more if the yarn holds out.
I hope you’ll buy one — they’ll be posted to you 26th August.
Thanks for reading.

Such a simple but great way to do something when, like you say, we're otherwise so helpless. I've ordered mine and looking forward to it arriving.
